key verse

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalm 12: 6-7 KJV

Welcome Y'All!

I guess Blogger gave up on me with my old blog. Don't blame them. Who knows how long it's been since the last time I've posted. I'm going to have to go out and drum up new readers!

This time around I will fill y'all in on family doin's and such (can you tell I've lived in TN for nearly 4 years...it's rubbing off on me!). But besides the stuff about all of us I really want to share what really makes my heart beat faster. And that is God's Word. I am in love with my God's Word...the Bible...Scripture. I love to study the Bible. Some days that is ALL I do. Move over a bit sweet Mary, Janice wants some time with our precious Lord's feet today! Oh sorry. No need to get snippy Janice...He has time for all of us. Anyhooo!

As I tell my kiddos in Sunday School, every word in the Bible, from the "In the beginning" in Genesis 1:1 to the "Amen" in Revelation 22:21 was first spoken ("God-breathed" is the literal translation of the word "inspired" or "inspiration" in 2 Timothy 3:16 - put your hand in front of your mouth and feel your breath when you talk - that's how I demonstrate it for the kids) was first spoken by God to those men who wrote it down for those of us to have to read. We have the very words of the one true God whose same voice spoke creation into being over the course of six short days into being. We have those words written down on paper to read anytime we want to and they are words of hope, of love, of forgiveness, and of purpose both for right this very moment and for every day and for all eternity. I love my God and I love His Word. I hope to share that love and passion with you in hope that you will fall in love with both.
